Privacy Policy
Effective date: 27 October 2026
This policy explains how the ClaimReady mobile app ("the app") handles your data. In short: your inventory stays on your phone. The app has no accounts, we do not run servers that store your data, we do not show ads and we do not use analytics or tracking tools.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is KAROL NIEMIEC APPXNEXT, ul. Pogórze 26, 32-031 Gaj, Poland, NIP 9442276005. Contact: knappxnext@gmail.com.
2. Data processed on your device
- Inventory. Homes (name, address, currency, insurer, policy number, coverage limit), rooms and items (name, category, value, quantity, purchase date, brand, model, serial number, warranty date, notes) that you enter are stored in the app's private storage on your device only.
- Photos and documents. When you add a photo of an item, a receipt or a label, the app asks for access to the camera or lets you pick a picture or PDF. Only the files you choose are copied into the app's private storage. The app does not read or upload your other photos or files.
- Text and barcode recognition. When you ask the app to read text or scan a barcode, the image is processed on your device with Google ML Kit. Images and recognized text are not uploaded. ML Kit may send Google limited technical information (such as device model, operating-system version and API performance metrics) to maintain the service; it does not include your images or their content.
- Reminders about warranties ending and a yearly inventory review are scheduled locally on your device with your permission to show notifications.
We, the developer, have no access to this data. The app does not use your location.
3. Data sent to third parties
- Reports, exports and backups you share. A PDF report, CSV file or backup file is created on your device and only leaves it when you send or save it yourself, for example to your insurer, by e-mail or to cloud storage. The recipient you choose then handles it under their own terms.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (USA), which receives a random app user ID, purchase information, device type, operating-system version and app version. RevenueCat acts as our processor. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Device backups. If you have enabled iCloud Backup or Android backup, your operating system may include the app's data in your personal backup. This is controlled by you and by Apple or Google.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on your consent to camera, photo-library and notification access, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Your rights
You can delete items, rooms and homes with their photos and receipts in the app, and you can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your data, to data portability, to object and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych). Because your data stays on your device, most requests can be fulfilled directly in the app. For anything else, contact us at the address above.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date.
